5 Year Wedding Anniversary

Jacob and I just celebrated our 5 Year Wedding Anniversary on October 22, 2010! My parents also celebrated their 38th Wedding Anniversary on October 21, 2010. We celebrated together in French Lick, Indiana :)

48 Hours Live to Tell

Finished up the filming for Live to Tell. Filmed in Evansville recently! It should be airing in mid-December. The date is not set yet, but it should be by Thanksgiving. I will keep you posted!

Live to Tell Filming

In between my speaking engagements, I squeezed in a recording for Live to Tell 48 Hours in Lexington, KY. It was a long day of filming, but I have a feeling the show is going to be great! It should air sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I will keep you posted! Special thanks to Amy, Molly, Wade, and Jacob for supporting me that day!!

Windy but beautiful in Florida! Spent all day yesterday by the pool, beach tomorrow... this is the LIFE!

VACATION!

I'm having an amazing vacation in Sarasota, Florida! My parents are terrific hosts! Jacob, my hubby, joins me tomorrow. I can't wait! Golf for him, hanging by the pool for me! LIFE IS GOOD!!

Traveling

I'm hanging in Pittsburgh's Airport... I agree with Angela Shelton... all airports should have free WiFi! It should be a law. Thanks PIT for my free WiFi! Why did I arrive at the airport over 2 hours early? Oh well, better early that late. Heading back home via Detroit. I LOVE MY JOB!!

Next week, I head to Sarasota for a little vacation! I get to spend 10 days with my mom and dad. I can't wait to relax by the pool. Anyone have any good book recommendations?

Amazing day today at FBI-CJIS

I had an amazing day today speaking at the FBI-CJIS Division! I got to keep a video taped copy of my speech, but I'm not allowed to post it. And I'm gonna do what the FBI tell me to do :) Everyone was so excited to have me there today. I got amazing feedback!

I have to give a great big shout out to my new friend, Dave Morgan, aka: Big M!!! He has been my chauffeur, tour guide, food connoisseur, and friendly face throughout my entire trip! Thank you, Dave!!

I'll be sad to leave West Virginia tomorrow... but happy to get home! What a terrific trip! Still living my passion and it feels AMAZING!!

I promised my new West Virginia friends... Let's go Mountaineers! Here's hoping for a WVU National Championship!

West Virginia Update

My talk in Virginia went great! I'm excited to head to the FBI- Criminal Justice Information Services Division on Monday! I have an itinerary that includes 2 speeches, lunch with the director and staff, and a fingerprint demonstration (now I'll be in the system :)

I'm not allowed to take camera telephones, cameras, video equipment, or a PDA to the facility on Monday :) So definitely no updating from there :)

Get to see more of Clarksburg, WV today! Then MY CATS play! How is it I'm in West Virginia when my UK Wildcats play West Virginia? Hope I don't get in a fight when they win. I'm going to try to convert them all the Kentucky fans! :) Let's GO BIG BLUE!!!

Just bought my plane ticket!

I just bought my plane ticket to go speak to the FBI :) I'm so excited to start speaking again and traveling! This is what I love to do!

YMCA Pancake Days

I volunteered today at the YMCA Pancake Days in Evansville, Indiana. What a terrific event! You can still fill your tummy with pancakes tomorrow, Sunday, February 21st from 8am-1pm at the Downtown YMCA. Support this wonderful cause!

The three-day event will offer food, fun, and fellowship for the whole family.

T.J. Parsell - T.J. Parsell is a writer and human rights activist dedicated to ending sexual violence against men, women, and children in all forms of detention. He is President of Stop Prisoner Rape, served as a consultant to the National Prison Rape Elimination Commission, and authored the book, FJSH: A Memoir of a Boy in a Man's Prison. Mr. Parsell has testified before numerous government bodies and was instrumental in passage of the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003, the first ever federal legislation to address this issue.

Brett Sokolow - Brett Sokolow is the Managing Partner of the National Center for Higher Education Risk Management (NCHERM), a national multidisciplinary risk management consulting firm.
