YMCA Pancake Days

I volunteered today at the YMCA Pancake Days in Evansville, Indiana. What a terrific event! You can still fill your tummy with pancakes tomorrow, Sunday, February 21st from 8am-1pm at the Downtown YMCA. Support this wonderful cause!

YMCA Pancake Days

The 22nd Annual YMCA “Pancake Days”will be held February 19, 20 & 21
at the Downtown YMCA

The three-day event will offer food, fun, and fellowship for the whole family.

Event Hours: Friday, February 19 and Saturday, February 20 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Sunday, February 21 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Tickets: Can be purchased in advance at the YMCA or at the door during the event.
Adult $5.00 (13 yrs. and over)
Youth $3.00 (under 3yrs. free)

Ticket prices include Pancakes, Sausage, milk, coffee and juice..

Group Ticket Sales: If you are interested in purchasing a block of 8 or more tickets, contact Sally Kroeger at 426-6210, ext. 3331 for group ticket prices.

Volunteer Opportunities: If you are interesting in volunteering for this event, sign up at the Downtown YMCA or contact Sally Kroeger at 426-6210, ext. 3331.

Entertainment: The event will also include live entertainment including the Hadi Funsters, Magician Don Baggett, face painting and much more.

All proceeds provide scholarships for children and families who are unable to afford YMCA program fees.

Come be apart of the only statewide, multidisciplinary conference against sexual violence! The conference offers a chance to educate yourself on the issues of sexual violence, and a chance to network and make new connections throughout the state.

Featured speakers:

T.J. Parsell - T.J. Parsell is a writer and human rights activist dedicated to ending sexual violence against men, women, and children in all forms of detention. He is President of Stop Prisoner Rape, served as a consultant to the National Prison Rape Elimination Commission, and authored the book, FJSH: A Memoir of a Boy in a Man's Prison. Mr. Parsell has testified before numerous government bodies and was instrumental in passage of the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003, the first ever federal legislation to address this issue.

Brett Sokolow - Brett Sokolow is the Managing Partner of the National Center for Higher Education Risk Management (NCHERM), a national multidisciplinary risk management consulting firm. He is an expert in preventive law and risk management. He has years strategically addressing high-risk health and safety issues. http://www.ncherm.org/founder.html
